📍Prinsengracht 263–267, 1016 GV Amsterdam, Netherlands
1942 – 1944“We called it the Secret Annex — eight of us hiding in the back rooms above my father's office, for 761 days. I wrote in my diary because I needed somewhere to put everything I was feeling: the fear, the boredom, the arguments, the growing up that happens even in impossible circumstances. I wrote that I still believed people were good at heart. I was fifteen when the Gestapo came. I died at Bergen-Belsen at sixteen, but the diary survived.”
