📍Bucklebury, Berkshire, UK
1995 – 2011“Catherine Middleton was born in Reading, the eldest of three children of Michael and Carole Middleton, who had met working for British Airways. When she was a toddler the family spent more than two years in Amman, Jordan, where her father was posted, before returning to the Berkshire countryside. Her parents started a small business from home selling party bags and supplies, Party Pieces, which grew into a successful company, and the family settled in the village of Bucklebury, near Newbury, where they lived for many years. Catherine went to St Andrew's School in Pangbourne, where she played hockey and netball and acted in school plays, then boarded at Marlborough College in Wiltshire, a keen sportswoman with a steady circle of friends. She went on to study art history at the University of St Andrews, where she met Prince William. Bucklebury held street parties when she married, and her family's ordinary, close-knit village life is often credited with grounding her in the years since.”
