📍10 Downing Street, Westminster, London, United Kingdom
1997 – 2007“Tony Blair lived at Downing Street from May 1997, when Labour won a landslide general election victory, until June 2007. He, his wife, Cherie, and their children lived in the larger flat above Number Eleven, and in 2000 their son Leo was born, the first baby born to a serving prime minister in more than 150 years. His government introduced devolution for Scotland and Wales, the national minimum wage, and in 1998 helped secure the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland, which he has called one of the achievements he is proudest of. After the attacks of 11 September 2001, he took Britain into the wars in Afghanistan and, in 2003, Iraq, a decision that has shaped how his years in Downing Street are remembered. He has written about his time in office in his memoir A Journey.”
